Newports Institute of Communications & Economics recently hosted an esteemed academic delegation from Niger, marking a significant step towards international collaboration in education and research. The delegation comprised notable academic figures, including Ibrahim Guero Mahamadoul-HadI, Rector of KAAT University; Dr. Halidou Soumana Ibrahim; Sanda Maiga Abdoulaye, Rector of IPSP; and Ibrahim bin Maqsood, a representative from the African Institute of Technology, Niamey. The delegation was accompanied by Dr. Ahmed Ali Sirohey, the Ambassador of Niger.
During the visit, an important Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed between the university representatives and Newports Institute, reflecting a mutual commitment to advancing academic cooperation. Dr. Huma Bukhari, the Rector of Newports Institute, provided the delegation with a comprehensive campus tour and engaged in discussions about potential faculty and student exchange programs. She also highlighted the opportunity for offering online short courses tailored to the students of these Nigerien institutions, further strengthening the academic ties between the countries.
