Separate libraries at the Newports Korangi Creek Campus and City Campus support this vital role of faculty and student development. Within a short period, the Institute has assembled an impressive collection of books in Engineering, Mathematics, Business Administration, Social Sciences, Computer Science, and Multimedia fields.
Newports has well-established and meticulously organized air-conditioned libraries. The three general libraries, alongside a dedicated engineering library, boast a substantial collection of over 13,000 books of the latest editions on Engineering, Computer Science, and Management Science.
More than 30 journals and magazines of international renown are accessible for research and reference, along with numerous English and Urdu newspapers. The Institute subscribes to digital libraries such as IEEE, ACM, and HEC-linked libraries, providing access to thousands of journals and magazines.

The Library Information System enables both students and faculty to conduct online searches for accessible library resources based on various criteria, effectively overseeing the borrowing and acquisition of library items such as books and magazines.

A separate, well-furnished, decorated, and spacious air-conditioned ‘Reading Room’ is also a part of the library. It has a capacity of more than one hundred students, with individual carrels that provide a conducive environment for self-study. PC terminals are available for students, offering online access to thousands of journals in the Digital Library. Over 50 journals and magazines of international acclaim are available for research and reference, along with several English and Urdu newspapers. The Institute subscribes to the digital libraries of IEEE, ACM, and provides links to HEC-subscribed libraries containing thousands of journals and magazines.

Our Collection
DDC SYSTEM
Newports uses the Dewey Decimal Classification (DDC) system to organize books. This system arranges books according to their primary subject and assigns each book a unique call number to locate it on the shelf. This method of organization makes it easier to find books that may fit into several majors or departments.
TOTAL COLLECTION
The libraries have an extensive variety of books related to multiple disciplines such as Engineering, Management Sciences, Computer Sciences, Media & Arts, Humanities, and general literature. Following is the total number of books for each discipline:
Besides these books, a substantial number of reference books and final year projects are available in all the libraries, with the number continually increasing every semester.
Reference:
A considerable number of current reference sources are available on reference shelves. The collection also includes dictionaries, encyclopedias, handbooks, directories, and bibliographies. Furthermore, final year projects are also kept not only for the institute’s record but also to guide junior students.

Leave personal things (bags, handbags, binders, files, etc.) in the designated area at the library entrance.
Attending phone calls is strictly PROHIBITED. Please ensure that your cell phone is on silent mode.
Students can borrow up to three books at a time for 15 days.
Books can be renewed only ONCE.
Pure reference books will not be issued. Similarly, journals and reports will also not be issued.
THERE WILL BE A FINE OF RS. 30/- PER DAY FOR OVERDUE BOOKS.
The current price must be paid by library members for lost or damaged library books.
Take care of your belongings (mobile, laptop, etc.) as the library does not assume any responsibility.
Food items are NOT ALLOWED in the library.
Silence must be maintained at all times.
Holding meetings and group discussions is allowed only in the study room.
