Newports Institute of Communications & Economics proudly participated in the International Youth Day Festival, held at Port Grand on 13th August 2024. Organized by the Youth Parliament, the event brought together 60 youth representatives from across Karachi, showcasing their achievements and inspiring future leaders.
Representing Newports Institute, a group of students, along with the Rector, Dr. Huma Bukhari, actively participated in the festival. The event provided a platform for young individuals to share their success stories, fostering a sense of community and empowerment among the youth of Karachi.
The festival featured keynote addresses by prominent figures who delivered motivational speeches to encourage and inspire the attendees. Among the distinguished speakers were Dr. Huma Bukhari, Rector of Newports Institute; Jalaluddin Mahar, Secretary of the Sports & Youth Affairs Department, Government of Sindh; Rizwan Jaffar, Founder & Chairman of Youth Parliament; and M. Hanif Khan, Ex-Governor of Rotary International, District 3271. Each speaker emphasized the importance of perseverance, education, and leadership in shaping the future of Pakistan.
In addition to the motivational speeches, the festival also included a cake-cutting ceremony to commemorate Pakistan’s Independence Day. This celebration further strengthened the patriotic spirit among the youth, reminding them of their role in the nation’s progress.
