On August 11, 2024, Newports Institute of Communications & Economics held an event to commemorate Youm e Hussain (AS), paying tribute to the enduring legacy of Imam Hussain (AS). The event brought together a distinguished panel of speakers who emphasized the importance of following the practices and teachings of the Holy Prophet’s (SAW) family.
The panel included notable figures such as Mr. Syed Raza Abbas Rizvi, Senior Director of KMC; Engineer Syed Usman, MPA; Maulana Tariq Hussain; renowned Noha Khuwan Mr. Izhar Hussain Zaidi; and famous Manqabat and Naat Khwan Pir Khwaja Syed Maaz Ali. The Rector of Newports Institute, Dr. Huma Bukhari, also addressed the audience, sharing insights on the significance of the teachings of Imam Hussain (AS) and their relevance in today’s world.
The event was graciously hosted by Mr. Syed Ziad Shah and Ms. Kainat Ashraf Ali, representatives of Newports Institute. The program featured soulful recitations of kalaam by students of the Institute, including Mr. Maroof Sarwar, Mr. Syed Zia Abbas, and Ms. Kainat Ashraf Ali, who captivated the audience with their performances.
